Qualifications for Teaching Faculty and Resident Assistant Positions

The administration of the American International School-Salzburg welcomes expressions of professional employment interest year-round.

Minimum qualifications for consideration for teaching faculty and administrative positions include (a) an advanced university degree from a North American, U.K. or Western European university in which English was the language of instruction, (b) at least two years teaching experience with excellent record and recommendations for teaching faculty positions, (c) and experience specific to the open position(s) at AIS-Salzburg.

Minimum qualifications for those seeking employment in the resident-care staff include (a) a university degree from a North American, U.K. or Western European university in which English was the language of instruction, (b) experience suitable for employment supervising adolescents in a dormitory setting (summer camp, previous boarding experience, etc.), and (c) strong recommendations and interest in a career in secondary education. Teaching certification is not required for resident-care staff positions at AIS-Salzburg. Please bear in mind that the administration may give preference to those candidates who are single and without dependents, speak German, or have previous professional experience in Salzburg, Austria or Western Europe. Teaching Faculty

AIS-Salzburg is looking for a part-time instructor of general studio art for students aged 12 to 17.  The position entails teaching 4 to 6 hours weekly in the afternoons and or evenings two or three days per week.

 
Compensation will be reflective of the number of hours taught and general standards in secondary international schools.  
 
Experience with secondary school students and/or a teaching credential is desired but not mandatory.
