Respect School Technology Resources

• Use technology for educational and approved personal purposes.
• Follow all instructions provided by faculty and staff.
• Protect school equipment from damage, misuse, or theft.
• Report technical problems promptly.

Protect Security and Privacy

• Keep passwords confidential.
• Use only authorized accounts.
• Never access another person's account, files, or information without permission.
• Respect the privacy of students, staff, and community members.

Use the Internet Responsibly

• Access information appropriate to educational purposes.
• Follow all school rules regarding online conduct.
• Refrain from accessing, possessing, transmitting, or distributing inappropriate, offensive, illegal, or harmful content.

Communicate Respectfully

• Use respectful language and conduct online.
• Avoid cyberbullying, harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or threats.
• Respect the dignity and reputation of others.

AIS-Salzburg recognizes that AI technologies are becoming increasingly important educational and professional tools.

Students may use AI tools only:

• When permitted by the instructor.
• In accordance with assignment requirements.
• In ways that support learning rather than replace learning.
• In accordance with academic honesty expectations.

Students may not:

• Submit AI-generated work as their own when prohibited.
• Use AI to cheat on examinations, quizzes, assessments, or assignments.
• Misrepresent AI-generated content as original authorship.
• Circumvent teacher instructions regarding AI use.

Students are responsible for properly disclosing and documenting AI use whenever required by their instructor.

I understand that:

1. AIS-Salzburg technology resources remain school property.
2. The school may monitor, review, investigate, or restrict the use of school-owned systems, accounts, and networks when necessary for:
   • Security
   • Safeguarding
   • Child protection
   • Legal compliance
   • Educational administration
   • Investigation of policy violations
3. Students should have no expectation of absolute privacy when using school-owned systems or networks.

Students may use personal devices only in accordance with school policies and staff instructions.

The school reserves the right to:

• Restrict device use during classes, study halls, activities, or residential hours.
• Confiscate devices used in violation of school policies.
• Limit network access when misuse occurs.

I understand that technology access is an important component of my child's education.  I support AIS-Salzburg in maintaining appropriate standards for technology use, cybersecurity, academic integrity, responsible AI use, and digital citizenship.

I have read and understood this Technology, Network, Artificial Intelligence, and Responsible Use Agreement.

I agree to comply with these expectations and understand that violations may result in loss of technology privileges, disciplinary action, academic consequences, or other measures deemed appropriate by the school.
