I understand and acknowledge that:

1. Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes, examinations, seminars, tutorials, assemblies, and other required academic activities.
2. Attendance is a fundamental requirement for receiving academic credit and promotion to the next grade level.
3. Excessive absences, whether excused or unexcused, may jeopardize the awarding of academic credit.
4. Students are responsible for completing all academic work assigned during approved absences.
5. Missed examinations, quizzes, assignments, or assessments may only be made up in accordance with school policy and administrative approval.

I understand and acknowledge that:

1. Family travel plans must be arranged in accordance with the published AIS-Salzburg academic calendar.
2. Early departures before vacation periods, excursions, examinations, or the end of a trimester may negatively affect academic progress and attendance standing.
3. Late returns following vacation periods, school breaks, or excursions may result in academic and disciplinary consequences.
4. The school reserves the right to determine whether absences are excused or unexcused.

I understand and acknowledge that:

1. Physical Education is a required component of the AIS-Salzburg educational program.
2. Students are expected to participate fully unless excused by a physician or approved by the school administration.
3. Temporary or long-term medical limitations must be documented and submitted to the Health Coordinator/Office.
4. Alternative requirements may be assigned when appropriate.

As an AIS-Salzburg student, I agree to:

• Attend all required classes and activities punctually.
• Arrive prepared and ready to participate.
• Communicate honestly regarding attendance issues.
• Follow all attendance, sign-out, and reporting procedures.
• Take responsibility for making up missed work when absent.
• Support a positive learning environment for others.

I have reviewed and discussed these attendance and participation expectations with my child.  I understand that attendance, participation, preparation, and engagement are essential requirements of enrollment at AIS-Salzburg and agree to support these expectations throughout the school year.
