Fall Excursion – Paris
On Wednesday, October 18th, AIS-Salzburg students in grades 8-10 and 12 along with a handful of staff members arrived in Paris after an overnight bus trip while grade 11 students were off to Poland to build a house as a part of the Habitat for Humanity Program. After arriving in Paris, the entire group immediately hopped onto the metro to Notre Dame and in th evening they visited the Eiffel Tower.
Thursday morning students enjoyed a bus tour of Paris and in the afternoon they had their choice of shopping at Galeries Lafayette or visiting either the Sacre Coeur (Montmartre area) or the War museum where Napolean’s tomb is located (Musee de l’ Armee). That evening some students went to the Arc d’ Triomphe and the Champs-Elysees while others enjoyed the Aquapark Aqueboulevard.
Friday morning students had a choice between the Catacombs, Musee d’Orsay or the Palais Galliera. Friday afternoon the entire group went to the Louvre and in evening on a boat tour on the Seine. Also on Friday evening the seniors had a special dinner with Mr. McLean.
The trip ended Saturday with a day at Disneyland Paris where students were found eating a lot of crepes and croissants.
