Boarding

It is our belief that only through the establishment of proper self-discipline and respect for others and their opinions can a student take full advantage of the academic information and opportunities provided by the school's curricular programs. To put this belief into practice, the school provides a total boarding experience which includes clear expectations, considerate handling of individual students, and focused attention to the physical, social, and psychological needs of young people.

We do not believe that the teaching faculty should also be responsible for the pastoral care of our students and, therefore, have a separate resident-care staff responsible for these very important duties. This resident-care staff is directed by the Head of Student Life and is on duty during all hours outside of academic instruction. By splitting the two roles of the boarding-school staff, we feel students' needs are adequately met and the school can provide the comprehensive education demanded of the modern, international boarding school.
